Through your journey with cholangiocarcinoma, you showed us what courage, faith, humor, and hope look like—even on the hardest days. You chose to be a light for others when you had every reason not to. Your reminder to “just keep swimming” became so much more than a saying. It became a way of facing life’s toughest moments with strength and grace. I know I’m just one of countless people whose life is better because you chose to share your heart with the world. Thank you for raising awareness about cholangiocarcinoma and for continuing to help others through your pajama fundraiser. Even while facing your own battle, you found ways to give back. For those wondering, it typically can take 6-8 weeks for doctors to see signs on a scan if the new cells are shrinking the tumours. Sometimes the scans will show the tumours larger at first, but that’s because the new cells are infiltrating the tumours before they beat them down. Keep hanging in Syd, sending you love ❤️❤️❤️

It’s bad before it gets better, my grandson got his brothers cells 2 years ago and the first few weeks was horrible and he was only 2. He is now thriving and cancer free, so hang in there!🙏🏻

Syd I just moved to Prague and there’s this cafe where you can cuddle dogs and this one is 50kg but thinks she’s a lap dog and sits in your lap, isn’t that funny? When you visit the city you need to see them. Thinking of you, better days are coming, hang in there 🫶

Just came here to see your face again. I’ve watched this video a hundred times. My heart hurts today knowing you were transferred to hospice but I felt a comfort seeing your hospital room filled with those you love. You deserved a million more Aprils. A million more Miamis. I million more marathon runs. Life isn’t fair. There’s nothing in this world that I hate more than cancer. You’ve been swimming non stop for years. Time to turn onto your back & float.
