So basically a sentence with pas is automatically a negative sentence

du = de le, when "de" comes before a masculin definite word it becomes "du", for féminin word it stays "de la". example: -je mange de le pain -> je mange du pain - je mange de la soup (it stays the same) this is what I know. isn't it right??
