That dog is not “kissing” the baby. This is appeasement licking, it’s a very kind way for a dog to say, please stop. 3. When your dogs eyes look like they are going to pop out, this is called whale eye, a sign of stress. This is why it’s so important that during the beginning stages of having your toddler move around, to put your dog in positions where they are safe, and kids in position so they are safe. Baby gates are your best friend!
