I think it’s more of the fact that they both are part of the “haunt the narrative,” niche. Both families were nearly extinct before the show took place, during an event that is frequently called back to once the remaining members are perceived. Both families were narratively dangerous and their dooms marked a turn in their respective universe’s politics.

I think the difference is that the Uchihas experienced much more unreasonable hate whereas the hate the Targeryans got was in a was deserved (even tho I love them as characters) they were very elitist…idk what do you think?? But I love the composition it makes so much sense and I never thought of it
