In phlebotomy, they teach you to leave the cap on a flat surface/ the table and do a scoop motion one handed to put the cap back on. Then tilt and snap in place. It helps align the needle in the cap better and not holding it saves your fingers in case it bends and breaks through like you show ❣️

It’s okay to prick your own if you used it, the danger is when you help someone else, I recommend standing them up so the flat end is on the table and then going down inside of administration as possible to recap it for the one with the orange caps
