The absolute truth! No unnecessary drama, jealousy. I've tried to be friendly and more open only to get stabbed in the back with the minimal information I shared. Most people just are not worth a damn. I'm a confident person that doesn't require approval and validation to be me. That alone is intimidating to folks. Then they start picking you apart competing with you, recruiting others to be shady towards you. I have so much peace with few friends. I have no regrets keeping to myself!

I moved all the time growing up so it was hard maintaining friendships. I craved friendship for so long till I realized most friend groups are tolerating weird behaviors on the daily. I've also had some jealous friends and weirdos trying to "figure me out" and play games. 9/10 your life is only hard because another person is making it hard.

For some reason, Im the kind of person who makes friends everywhere i go. What starts as an acquaintance turns into full blown texting, add on facebook it insta, and its never me who initates it - always the other person. Over years, this has built up to so many people - its so much pressure just trying to keep up. So i literally chose 2 friends and was like, your the two im going to consistently talk to because otherwise, its hundreds of people and thats too much. I dont think its a bad thing at all to focus on just one or two close friendships. And you can always meet up occasionally with the others.
