Do you live where you get snow? Wanting to do this but worried about not being able to spray it clean and winter and then what it'll look like in spring.

No large pond or dam or pool to swim in? My ducks spend 70% of their waking time on the water That's set up looks cruel for a web foot bird. I had to stop breeding ducks after both foxes and wedge-tailed eagles moved in and started feeding on them when they were going to their enclosure at night and the Eagles Took them right off the dam.

For u it's messy, but for the ducks it's an essential part of their natural behavior. They need the opportunity to dabble in the dirt for their digestion just as they need to nibble on gras and other plants. Keeping them in such a sterile environment might make it easier for you to keep the enclosure clean, but for them, it's cruel.

only thing I have concern about is how hot turf gets in the summer, especially in the sun. it often ends up hotter than concrete in the sun and i worry about burnt flippers
