@mattraekelboom: “They’ll grow out of it” can be a pretty harmful phrasing in ways we don’t immediately think about. If someone knows that ADHD is going away then why wouldn’t they supplement the pain? Why wouldn’t they just cope with it knowing that it gets better instead of understanding what they have so that WHEN they are fully developed they not only have the best brain for the job but also they know how to use that best brain to their advantage. There are a lot of late diagnosed women that only realize they actually have it once perimenopause starts. Females are greatly under-diagnosed. It’s almost like we grow into it
