My mil did this. Asked my husband for a key. He didn’t think anything of it. I started noticing random stuff on our island or in our garage. She was coming over whenever she wanted. I stopped it immediately. I was so pissed off! She didn’t understand boundaries at all. She does know though! This was like 20 years ago. She knows she’s not welcome here unless we invite her.
