So the context of that reference was not being pro beating wives… It was basically referring to those shirts as white trash… so when they make that reference, they actually talking shit on both people who would wear that as a regular shirt… And people who would beat on their wives….Context matters

calling it with wife beater was associating an article of clothing with a behavior of people who wear that type of article of clothing. wasn't an acceptance of the practice. do you remember the time when people used to be able to take context and apply it rationally?
