Hello Doctor, I am 19 years old and I underwent a septorhinoplasty. The surgery was performed to correct my deviated septum, but also to lift the tip of my nose for cosmetic reasons. When my cast was removed on postoperative day 7, I felt like I was looking at my original nose, just much more swollen. Other than the hump being gone, it seems that neither the length nor the width of my nose has really changed. What worries me the most is that immediately after the surgery, while I was still in the operating room, my nasal tip was much more lifted and I actually liked how it looked. However, by day 7, it seemed to have dropped significantly and no longer looked the same at all. That change has made me wonder whether the tip has already settled or if it is simply the swelling affecting its appearance. My surgeon told me to be patient and wait for the swelling to go down, but I already feel like I know what the final result will look like, and I’m worried that the surgery hasn’t produced the aesthetic changes I was hoping for. I would therefore like to ask for your professional opinion as another specialist
