omg i love clients that tip, and im not talking about money, i mean I'm done and they go "Would you like a cup of tea before you leave?" UH YES PLEASE YOU LEGEND!!!! There was a 40⁰c day in january that was AWFUL, i finished up drowning in sweat and my client had a pool, he went "last shift of the day?" i said yes and he went "i have a towel you can return at a later date, jump in its 20⁰c in there" he did NOT have to say it twice, me and my whole ass uniform went in 😂

omg I miss my cleaner. we'd talk crap, then they'd go off and clean another room, then when in the same area talk again. they were great. I gave random tips, always got a bday and christmas gift.

my moms been a house cleaner for over a decade and ive been working for her for six years. I think itd be weird if anyone expected a tip for this work considering you set the price yourself

I don’t really understand why people expect us to tip self-employed cleaners/people. They set their own prices, so they already have the opportunity to charge what they believe their service is worth. Unlike employees who may rely on tips because they earn a lower hourly wage, self-employed business owners decide their rates to cover their labor, expenses, taxes, and profit. If I agree to the quoted price and pay it in full, I don’t see why there should be an additional expectation to tip.
