Optimistic nihilism is my calling card. It's a flashpan existence. Love you life and remember that it's the same for others. Help them love their life.

Space doesn't evoke a sence of nihilism for me. I feel connected to something bigger than myself. This reality where people place themselves at the center of existence is the driving force behind my existential nihilism.

It’s hard to see a big picture when so many people feel incapable of escaping from the constant cruelty of capitalism. I believe people would be way more inclined to see the larger picture of existence if we weren’t being siphoned for our energy by our employers and never having time to be creative, free to have a good social life and almost being denied access to basic human biological needs.

The Dolli Llama :
Existentialism leads people to two major conclusions, typically. One of these conclusions is Nihilism. There is no inherent meaning in anything. The second major conclusion it leads to is Absurdism. Absurdism says that yeah, there is no inherent meaning to life. So the only thing that actually matters are the things you make matter to you. Make your own meaning to life. That’s the most freeing experience I can recommend.

only if the universe is not infinite. if it is then there's an infinite amount of atoms. Therefore an infinite version of you must exist

The greatest freedom we have isn’t choosing what happens to us, it’s choosing the meaning we give it and the person we become because of it.

The thought that you’re (presently) 1 in 8 billion living people but also (presently) 1 in 8 billion living people is incredible. Both so special and also not special at all. That’s wonderful. Nothing is more comforting and beautiful than that

The problem with nihilism is it only works if everyone agrees. Otherwise it’s self-torture watching humanity live like lemmings. Monism is more forgiving of the weaker-minded

Hmm nihilism and acknowledging development through evolution aren’t mutually exclusive, so I don’t really understand this take. I was raised Buddhist so I never had the notion of a “creator” as the lens through which I observe the world. So essentially I believe more in happenstance than a grand plan, not simply that “nothing matters” as in there’s no joy or wonder. Quite the opposite to me actually. More liberating than depressing.
