locals can choose not to eat at their places.. locals can choose to eat local to support locals.. don't blame your competition.. SG was built on meritocracy.. why the fear now?

Competition is common in any businesses, so Singapore 🇸🇬 businesses need to pull up their sock to compete with more creativity in food n beverage n pricing with new concept with help of new technology..!

Aggressiveness is a skill in its own right. Only winners rise to the top – if you can’t defeat your opponent, you’re out.

Is Starbucks and coffee bean owned by Singapore ? If not, why compare Luckin coffee with them ?

Chinese franchises operate in the same environment and rules as the western franchises. So, what are you insinuating ? Punish Chinese fnb for being too successful ? Or you want Chinese fnb to win "non aggressively" ? Is there such a thing as winning "non aggressively" in business ? 🤣 This sounds more like scaremongering.

Not forgetting that china F&B paid the workers better than the local….so isn’t it better for fellow Singaporeans working in F&B??

This is the free market. Right ? But most importantly, the taste & quality must be there. Right ? Who buys if your food is not good ? BYD wins on price and quality worldwide. Not protection and favouritism. Won't last. How does Spore make ? Plenty if true. The landlords. The investment. The multiplier effects. The vibrant F & B scene. Not ghost malls. The employment. The downstream purchases from ingredients to gas. You cant sell something people don't want. Right ? Willing buyer, willing seller. Just like the wealthy pushing up the CoEs translating into the billions as vouchers for Spore. Spore is resourceless, living off taxes like GST, CoEs, etc. So, if the branded Chinese retails don't come, it doesn't mean people will buy the local ones. Right ? What about the runaway millions daily into Johor ?

Biz is survival of the fittest. It don’t matter if they are PRC owned, American owned etc. so long as they offer a good product and a fair price. I don’t really care if the store is owned by SG owners or PRC.

Singapore's brands are kopitiam, Hainan chicken rice, fried hokkien mee, fried kueh teow, nasi lemak, sup kampung, ham chin piang, karipap, teh tarik, kopi c kau kau......so, Chinese f n B are not the competitor la. they compete with the US, Western brands. 😂

If it cheap and good, people will support and it's good for consumers. When western and Japanese brands dominated SG before, why never Kpkb? 😂😂😂

It's the customers who will choose what they want. Expensive stores will sure loose in competition. It's the landlords who are benefitting from high rentals because of high demand.

Supply and demand factor will decide if the China F&B biz can survive. Rental and competition will also have a big say.

If you cannot compete you blame China? What utter bunch of rubbish argument. So Starbuck, Coffee bean are crowding out Ya Kun ? what about Luckin Coffee ? Starbuck close or Ya Kun close ?

American F&B leave, China ones come in. As long as they offer a competitive price is good for Spore
