I would understand doing this if Argentina should've won the game/they got robbed by the referees but they only had 2 shots off target in 120+ minutes and the refs still protected them as they did in the whole tournament. Especially disgraceful behaviour from Messi since he has a reputation for being a "humble nice guy"
