@kimberlee93: The White Ibis is a costal wading bird that has a long, brightly curved beak. This beak is used to sweep side to side in the water to feel for food, & to penetrate into the mud. This specific ibis ate around 10 crabs while I watched him for about an hour. He picks up the crabs, shakes off all of their legs, swallows the body whole, and then goes back to eat the legs. #portaransastx #birding #coastalbirds #whiteibis #nature
