@playboiaesthetic: The Guardian edit #theguardian #theguardian2006 #coastguard #rescueswimmer #ashtonkutcher

JW :

This was the movie that inspired me to be a rescue swimmer. Didn’t end up coast guard but the navy wasn’t half bad

Batman 🦇 :

It’s either the coast guard or marines I wanna serve in but my heart wants both

Noah :

Holy niche. I love this movie so much, I’m glad someone finally made an edit of it.

🇵🇷Joe🇵🇷 :

The Coast Guard didn’t want me, decent ASVAB score, 5:38 mile time, 5’11 185, 10 reps of 225. But I had asthma as a kid and forced me to take a test to aggravate my airway/ signs of asthma if present. Then told me after all of that, they won’t allow me to enlist and I tried to get a waiver to get around it and still didn’t work. I lost 80lbs to pursue my dream of being a rescue swimmer (AST1) and got in the proper shape necessary to do so. Don’t take it for granted.

Was in the navy for a while. Saw this movie and then a friend in the USCG called me and convinced me to switch. No regrets.
