I tried this but instead of egg substitute i used Mayo and instead of water used Mayo and instead of cake Mix used soy sauce and it was horrible do not recommend

Back in the day, I used to make vegan cupcakes for my friend with a box of cake mix and a can of any flavor of soda. That’s it. No eggs or oil.

people are really sleeping on powdered egg replacer. it's designed to provide both leavening and emulsifying properties like a real egg. I love flax seeds, etc but not every egg replacement option works well in every situation

If you’re every feeling extra frisky, put pre made frosting into a stand mixer and beat the shit out of it with the whisk attachment. It goes very very airy and light and fluffy
