Trump is in over his head. We underestimated the ability of Iran to sustain the pounding we inflicted upon them. And we wrongly assumed that, once we attacked, the Iranian people would rise up against the regime.

Maybe the US still hasn't worked out that Iran bought 1000s of cheap and very realistic dummy targets from China over the last year. These dummies are extremely convincing and present an enticing target to heat sensitive satellite images. Iran has had decades to prepare for exactly this eventually, and they aren't messing around...
