watching this again, I had a funny memory: Pete reminds me of the guy in my division at Navy boot camp who suddenly screamed "I quit!" with tears in his eyes because they called him out early on (pushups) for having a smart mouth and disobeying orders. Pete's commitment to word salad over his country would have him facing the gd wall in complete silence for most of the day. we called it "kissing the bulkhead" because you are good for nothing if you can't work with the team. so *no wonder* he doesn't want to promote women.. lol this is the only way he outranks them. 😉
