actually the psychology behind the fact that the xenos are a common hear me out is actually the side effect of the discomfort that they were meant to bring; xenomorphs, by design, are actually SUPER feminist. In their time of design & creation, all horror movies mostly starred women being abused, stalked, klled, sometimes rped, and very often unnecessary erotic scenes where added (shower scenes, changing scenes, sleeping naked scenes, ect ect) the xenomorph's design is meant to flip the table; alien is a movie who's victims are men; the first people to get attacked by face huggers often being men, face huggers looking like vginas, and the men being forcibly impregnated and dying in "childbirth". A full grown xenomorph has a phallic head, and chases the female lead (life laugh love sigourney weaver) in a violent, assaulting way, in a way to represent how sxual abusers tend to think with ykw and use their "instinct" as an excuse; xenomorphs are shown to be heavily intelligent, and despite that intelligence, they keep on being violent for ultimately no reason other that multiplicating... you could go as far as to say this can even be a metaphor for colonisation. Anyways, the point of why it makes sense that they are a common "hear me out" is simply because of the sxual discomfort it causes people. That train of thought leading to sometimes associating that specific feeling and that specific visual together as something arousing. Its in a way even similar to the observed response of people being sxually harassed getting their "mind off of it" with msturbation in a desperate attempt to flip the negative situation into a slightly less negative situation.
that, but also waouh aliens are hot.
