As a lumine main, I’m so glad Lumine is the mc. Not bc she’s the better twin (both twins are so good!!) but because Lumine feels more real and relevant.

I personally don’t think aether suits the abyss prince role, and it’s not because I think he should be the main character.. no no no.. it’s simply because lumine just fits that role like a GLOVE. she is made to be the abyss princess <3 at the end of the day I don’t really care who gets what role I will watch it either way (I’m a female aether main btw)

Okay let’s get some things straight first: #1 it’s never been officially confirmed. Nothing has. The person who stated “Lumine is going to be the protagonist” said to take it with a grain of salt as they’ve found other sources that aren’t hoyoverse say this. #2 We don’t know for sure. People can be getting hyped up for no reason and they’ll drop aether as the protagonist instead because he’s the poster boy and has often been viewed as the traveler the most in hoyoverse’s eyes for years. #3 There might be some changes to the anime. We don’t know. Judging by the way the trailers look it seems they’re trying to make it seem like both of them are protagonists, or they might animate something before the traveler’s journey in Teyvat begins. Who knows. #4 we still don’t know who is the protagonist for sure. Nothing official has come out by hoyoverse or the studio who’s creating the genshin impact anime. It seems they’re trying to have us figure out who’s going to be the protagonist or not so we can hype up the anime. So far from what I’ve see and others who don’t believe things based off unofficial sources…it seems they might have both twins as the protagonists or they’re keeping it a mystery. #5 they probably know there is going to be some intense straight from hell type of warfare in the genshin fandom if they even choose one of the twins as the protagonist so like I’ve said before we don’t know. Hoyoverse caters to a lot of their Foreign Asian side of the fandom and a lot of those people will be pissed if lumine is the protagonist. So I feel like they’re trying to move away from choosing just one protagonist.
