@barefootrehab: If your back locks up every time you swing, it’s probably not a flexibility problem. The thoracic spine needs to rotate freely for a full backswing. When adhesion builds up in the rotatories at T7 and T8, the muscles become hypertonic and the joints stop moving the way they should. The body tries to compensate by finding rotation somewhere else – usually the lower back – and that’s where the pain comes from. Stretching and mobility work won’t break down the adhesion. It has to be physically removed. Once those thoracic joints are cleared, rotation comes back and the back stops taking the hit. Comment “BACK” if stiffness or pain is affecting your swing. #golfpain #backpain #golfer #adhesionrelease
