If it’s this bad now, imagine how stressed you’ll be if she’s acting the same way 1-2 months out from the wedding or even closer. $800 is a lot, but it might be worth forefitting for your peace of mind.

If your planner/coordinator is not more type A than you, they're no good. Mine had more executive functioning than anyone I've ever met, and her team were the MVPs of our wedding

She’s not fulfilling her contract. You should get your deposit back. If she says no, file a complaint with the Attorney General in your state. Hire someone new.

Hire a new planner. There are so many amazing wedding vendors that are willing to work hard for you and make your day amazing. If she’s not putting in the effort now, she’s not going to on your wedding day.

Definitely cancel the contract and hire a new planner. These are easy things that could and should have been done almost immediately by any half-professional planner. I would look at the cancellation clause in your contract and if it doesn’t say anything about return of deposit, ask her nicely and if not, file in small claims court because she doesn’t seem organized enough to fight that…

yeah I fear that the wedding experience you need doesn't align with her pricing and experience, as a wedding planner, a recommended vendor list is the FIRST thing I give. Followed up with a planning checklist. I'm sorry you're experiencing this.
