I hate talking about dps to older people. they will only think about Mr. Keating acted by Robin Williams and say how good his acting as a great teacher was: always helping his students, trying to understand them, trying to let them be free. but what about Todd? the guy who always feared to do a single mistake to not disappoint his parents, always tried his best, awkward to talk about his poetry using it as the only escape from all the bad thoughts he has in his mind. what about Neil? that thanks to his parents (especially dad's) fault gave up on his life and let himself be free in a different way, he had no choice, he believed in himself, he believed on Keating, he believed on Carpe diem. but he was trapped. what about Charlie? he never showed his sadness to anyone, always kept being the "nuwanda" he always said. even in the worst moments he didn't give up and always trying to cheer up the moment. and still, to defend his dead friend, he got suspended. what about Meeks? he was sent to war and died miserably. what about the dead poets? they lost the dearest ones. they lost their best friends, the group slowly falling apart, and they were all just 17. what about the REAL Mr. Keating? who felt guilty finding out his help wasn't enough to save his student. he tried so hard to teach the most important thing of life: freedom, something that they didn't have, controlled by their own parents, trapped in their own feelings, what about he felt?
