@benkjar: I did an online training today for a company and when they posted the marketing banner the comments came. After the large theatre screens darken and the lights from the cameras dim, people still have opinions and perspectives. No matter who you are, people will love you and hate you. Never one…..always both. As soon as I understood this, it helped me realize there was zero surprises, which lessened my fear of failure. When you understand the more you put yourself out there, the more opinions and perspectives you’ll hear…..the more you’ll also have the chance to impact THE ONE that needs you most that day. And…..what if the one that needs you the most is the one that’s making the darkest comments. What if…..youre called to be a stone catcher and not a stone thrower. What if….the one throwing the stones is actually the one you were called you attract. They’re usually the ones that are angry, misunderstood, unsure, lost and ready to let others know. Give them love. Show them that it’s ok if good people have bad days sometimes. You’ll be surprised how big of an impact you can make when you trade hate for a hug.
