My parents watched MASH every single night of my life. My husband and I are living with them again because my dad became disabled. They are still watching it and I can hear it every night in the kitchen when I cook. I hope when I die I hear the MASH theme song lightly in the distance so I know I am home.

My nephew chose maid. We spent three days with him before playing games eating his favorite foods watching movies. In his final moments we wrapped him in his favorite blanket played a song of his choice and we all held hands in a circle with him. It still breaks my heart but it was the most dignified way to pass. His doctor shed tears as he was distributing the injections. It was not easy but we supported him the best we could until his final breath🖤

I’m a nurse who’s been with several people as they pass and the way they reach out to people who we don’t see but are very clearly there for them is incredible. I don’t believe in “god” or “heaven.” And I don’t know what I believe happens after we die. but some part of me knows that our loved ones are out there somewhere in some way and I do believe they come for you💜 I don’t think we are ever alone in whatever comes next

if i fell asleep in the car my dad would carry me to bed. i remember when i was about 12ish my dad told my mum that he didn’t think he could do it anymore as i was getting to big. i pretended to be asleep one last time. my dad has passed away now and the thought of this made me cry

As a PSW who has cared for those with dementia and Alzheimer’s, I would want to go peacefully the same way. It takes everything from a person. It hurts the entire family. People will never understand unless they’ve had to care for someone suffering from it. It’s a horrible disease to pass away from. I’m glad you were able to use your autonomy and make this decision for yourself. Rest in paradise 🌼

My Mum died a few years ago and I was beside her when she passed. In her last 10 minutes she became so peaceful and just a moment before she died, she smiled and said ‘It’s so beautiful here’ and then she let go. I hope this is the feeling you too will have. 🥰
