On April 18, 2023, the song wasn't previewed during an Instagram Live session Doja held where she previewed snippets of many songs intended for the album, indicating that the song was already scrapped by this point. It was confirmed to be scrapped once the album's official tracklist was revealed on September 12, 2023. On September 28, 2023, Doja posted an old demo tracklist of the album a few days after its release.
