Always fill out that section on your driver's license that tells cops what's going on. Otherwise it gets really confusing and laborious for them to do their jobs.

they always use the excuse they're trying to figure out what's going on but when someone tells them what's going on they literally never accept that answer. I've seen cops ask somebody for ID because they're sitting on a park bench with their child feeding ducks and they justify because they need to figure out what's going on because somehow that looks suspicious to them. Number one your identification is not gonna tell them what's going on or what you're doing it's not going to tell them if you're doing something wrong. They literally have to have reasonable articulable suspicion of an actual FIRST before demanding identification they can ask and you can tell them no and if they keep persisting then that's demanding and that's a violation of our civil rights. There is not one state in our country that is a stop ID state, there's not one state that has a law on the books stating that you have to identify yourself because law-enforcement asked you to because no matter what they have to have reasonable articulable suspicion of an actual crime first they cannot detain you unless they have an actual crime they are investigating first
