more details on this entire trip ✨👇🏼 As of October 2023, I’ve spent 7 months exploring SE Asia (minus Japan). I chose to go here for my solo trip because I have felt safe and it’s pretty backpacker friendly. So far I’ve traveled Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Japan. There is still a lot of Vietnam I want to go back and see, and I lots of countries in Asia are still on my list. I stayed in hostels for the majority of my trip and book those through @hostelworld. I will always recommend hostels for solo travel if you want to meet people and do fun activities. Always check reviews before you book!! On the occasions where I stayed in guesthouses I book through @agoda or @bookingcom. My preferred method of transportation throughout this trip was busses, trains or ferries. Big fan of public transportation! I think it’s an excellent way to see a country and get more immersed in the culture. I outline where I went, how much I spent, what activities I did, and specific hostels I stayed in on previous carosel posts! Currently totaling up my entire trip to see how much I spent during the 5 months and will share that soon!
