These doctors and nurses are so racist! They lack any empathy for people of color knowing full well what sickle cell is and how much pain it causes they would rather think because this poor girl is black that she just wants medicine! It’s a sad world we live in and they ought to be ashamed of themselves!

This is so sad especially when women of color are looked at as just wanting the drugs. My niece was diagnosed with lupus and Sickle cell at the age of 15 she was in and out of the hospital in her early 20s she was sent to a nursing home because her legs locked up and she couldn’t no longer walk. These hospitals were saying the same thing but no one could image how she was feeling and the pain she was in. She passed away this year 7 days before her 30th birthday. They had her on dialudid and that was the only medication that help with the pain.
