Last September I left my house super early to go to the bus stop as I did every day. I had to go to the bus stop the same way because I had no other routes since its through a small forest. On this particular day it was so dark as it was so early and I was about half way through the forest when a man shown up behind me and a$sulted me. I was wearing headphones prior to this moment but I am always attempting to stay aware of my surroundings (like having my music super low and having one ear uncovered) but still that happened and left me traumatised for months. When you are walking alone in an area where there is no surveillance or people around always be vigilant of the noises. I ignored the walking behind me getting faster as I thought it was just a morning jogger and that was my greatest regret.

When you do sneak out, tell another friend where you are and location just in case, so in case smt does happen at least the friend knows where you are instead of ur perents or smt!
