This should be a movie. There is so much content missing. Eteri placed Kamila for BOTH team skates, which could be shared between 2 athletes, meaning most likely (if Kamila won) both Anna and Sasha would be without gold, when at least one almost could have it guaranteed. Girls were already shattered by that. Regarding Trusova: It wasn't just Olympics, Trusovas senior career is drowning in silver, she dominated her juniors and never won major event in seniors (both Anna and Kamila had multiple golds, especially Anna)

The jist of it is that Kamilla and Anna’s short programs landed them in 1st and 2nd place, respectively, score wise. If you didn’t get this yet, for the 2022 olympics, Alexandra Trusova’s long program/free skate (Cruella Devil) received the highest score, by itself. What got Anna a higher final score is the short program, where Sasha failed her triple axel.
