As a dog owner this is the owners fault. I DONT CARE HOW OLD UR DOG IS, TRAIN IT OR LEASH IT. It’s not impossible, my dog is 7 months and is trained. I have had dogs bigger than me chase me, dogs jump over fences to try and get my dogs, plus a lot more. Like the police officer said “he didn’t know” it’s not his fault. Do you know how much people die from a dog attack? Grabbing a dogs neck is not easy but I do see some of y’all’s point because he does have protection compared to a normal person wearing fabric and how he could have shot it once in the leg or shot in the air for a scare. But In the end it is a normal human response to protect yourself.

Both are at fault, 1: the owner could have put them on a leash or train them and could’ve took them to their property. 2: the cop could’ve one push them away, two grabbed the dog by the neck, or shoot NEAR him to scare them off, or one shot is bad enough BUT! At the ending we saw the dog still alive but dying.

You are right. The dogs should have been on a leash or the owners should have kept the dogs near them. The cops never know what dogs are going to do. the dog was barking and running towards the cop. You should never assume every dog is friendly.

Both are wrong. Ofc the cop shouldn’t have gone that far, but also your dog should not be charging at people. Either train it properly or keep it on a leash.
