NEW FRONT COVER for Saga Mag And I consider myself privileged to be on it. For TWO reasons Firstly, I’m privileged, yes privileged (almost 64), to be able to live to this age when so many haven’t. A number of those I’ve loved haven’t made this age and I’d give anything to have shared more years with them. As you get older, you realise what a privilege every single birthday is. They are a gift. And secondly, because I’m living in a time when to be an older woman is better than it has ever been, and there is a reason for that. I thank all the women who came before me who fought for the freedoms we now have (it was only in 1975, when I was 14, that women were allowed to have bank accounts) AND you in the younger generations who don’t see age as a barrier to anything. You give us all hope believe me. I love you for your attitude for freedom for so many parts of our society. Love wins in the end. There are many battles still to be fought AND WON for women, for safety, happiness and equality. Right now it’s going backwards and we’ll be fighting to reverse that in the coming months and years. A lot to do and I’ll be starting that fight very soon. Please join me when it starts. Sending SAGA love ❤️
