Worth knowing there are two quite different raft rides around here. The wide, cinematic stretch is the main river between Yangdi and Xingping, while the Yulong River right outside town is narrow, hand-poled with a single bamboo pole and slips over a chain of small weirs, so you sit much closer to the water and it stays far quieter. The old stone arch bridge at Yulong makes a good starting point. Which of the two were you drifting on?
