This is incorrect. The slightly underweight picture is actually normal. There are supposed to be small indents by the rib cage when looking top down. The ideal weight picture is overweight.

That's wrong, I'd say 2 is ideal. I've had several lengthy conversations with my vet about my cats diet. He is hungry all the time so I ask frequently if he eats enough. They keep telling me it's normal cat behavior and he's in peak form and shape. He looks like #2, 9lbs btw.
