Their prices are high because they are equivalent to what they earn. Someone who works at a call centre that side, and this side don't earn the same amount based on exchange rate. But their food , rent etc is equivalent to the amount they earn and same with us.

Your comparison is unrealistic. In England the minimum rate per hour is around £12 with is around R240. In SA the minimum rate per is hour R30.23 which is £1.37
