People claiming it was longer don't know anything. My retainer was a 24/7 retainer that I only took our to eat and brush my teeth, but it hurt so much, I had constant pain. So one night, I decided to sleep without it just to get a break from it. I woke up in the morning and it wouldn't fit back in. Literally took about 8 hours for my teeth to shift.

No worries, just put it as far as it will go, if it just covers half the teeth surface it’s fine. And then go to bed. In the morning, it will probably move all the way down slowly as you sleep. If not on the first night, just continue until it goes all the way into place. Happens to me all the time 😅
