Good luck in the US with something like that. They want to just lock up anyone who has special needs or disabilities in poorly ran institutions to hide them away. It would be awesome if their were programs that gave actual support and recognition in the form of easily available resources an income to those in this position. But the system created by men is built to look down on support and fights to keep the labor free so resources continue to be hoarded at the top. As women and some men open their eyes and see the system will never approve and help support them so they are opting out. They are opting to not reproduce or if they do they are using technology to learn of the sex of the embryo and/or whether there is any genetic markers for disabilities and picking whether they want to take that on. Women don’t want to birth their oppressors or give up every part of themselves to knowingly care for a potential child that won’t ever be able to care for themselves.

Can you go into how you raised your kid, generally? My brother's kid is 10 and autistic and him and my SIL refuse to acknowledge it. I've mentioned it many times. Do I need to give them resources? Should I give up bringing it up? Should I talk to my nephew privately about it?
