4-4-2 ATTACKING PATTERN | WINGER INSIDE, N8 IN BEHIND ⚽️ Another attacking pattern designed by Jonatan Germano, showing how a team playing 4-4-2 can attack around the opposition’s defensive block. The sequence: ➡️ CB plays to the fullback ➡️ FB plays down the line ➡️ Winger moves inside instead of running in behind ➡️ N8 attacks the space down the line ➡️ N8 delivers a cross into the box ➡️ RW and both N9s arrive to finish The key detail? It’s not always the winger who has to attack the space behind the defensive line. By moving inside, the winger creates space for N8 to make a penetrating run from midfield. Winger comes inside → N8 runs in behind → cross into the box. And what about defensive pressure? Two rotating pairs of centre-backs defend inside the penalty area, switching after a certain number of attacks. This makes the finishing action more realistic and forces the three attacking players to coordinate their movements against defenders. Same attacking objective. Different positional movements. A simple pattern to rehearse how a 4-4-2 can create crossing opportunities against an organised defensive block. #PatternOfPlay #442Formation #FootballTactics #FootballTraining #attackingplay
