I haven’t thought of wearing brown with grey and blue. Always just wore black with that combination. In fact I’m wearing it rn. Gonna start wearing it like this too.

The navy coat, because it's a blazer, is traditionally paired with a lighter trouser, like tan or white, so the grey looks a bit out of place. Try the reverse for a slightly better pairing of the same color scheme: navy trouser with charcoal/grey sport coat.
