@_themostknownunknown_: Some moments remind us how powerful nature truly is. On June 3, 2018, Volcán de Fuego erupted in one of Guatemala’s deadliest volcanic disasters in recent history. The eruption unleashed deadly pyroclastic flows—fast-moving avalanches of superheated ash, gas, and volcanic debris—that raced down the volcano’s slopes and reached nearby communities within minutes. Entire villages, including San Miguel Los Lotes, were devastated. Homes were buried beneath volcanic material, hundreds of people lost their lives, and thousands more were forced to evacuate. The truck footage captures how a routine day can become a fight for survival in moments when nature unleashes its full force. The 2018 eruption remains a powerful reminder that volcanic landscapes can be both breathtakingly beautiful and extraordinarily dangerous. Each video we post gets darker than the last. the people in this car were in fact the only ones of approximately 79 people that made it out of this alive.

This just didnt erupt without notice. There was volcanic activity and people shouldve evacuated prior to eruption.

that ash causes instant death and vaporization in any living thing. and that’s best case scenario. if it’s cold, it’s minimum 300°. you would be cooked alive.

This wasn’t a DISASTER.. why in the world would people park and get out to record an active volcano 🤦🏽 they all looked for this. You can tell by the smoke that they were just being nosy and had plenty of time to leave

People underestimate the heat and speed of pyroclastic flow. It eliminates EVERYTHING in its path, before the actual larva flows.

A pyroclast can travel up 300 miles per hour so that wasn’t a good location to start with. I am glad they made it. I remember seeing it in the news.

A pyroclastic flow. The average internal temperature of a pyroclastic flow typically ranges from 200° C to 700° C (390° F to 1,300° F), but can exceed 1,000° C (1,830° F).

a pyroclastic cloud can travel 60 miles an hour and can be 300-1200+ degrees... if it catches you... you are done for.
