honest question, is it bad that my goals are just to not have any. like do the work to where I'm comfortable enough to not have to strive for anything, cos that's where I am. I just want to reach a point where basically, if for the rest of my life nothing changes, my life is good

This doesn’t just go for your partner and yourself that goes for your friends too. If you don’t have friends that are better you at things and better people than you you shouldn’t wanna be friends with them. You should always learn more have good goals, and good aspirations and your friendship and your partner should do.

I think a relationship dynamic will only work if both parties are willing to be successful as people individually. If it’s not a power couple situation where they have a shared goal, it won’t work. Love is not enough

how do I explain as a man my only goal is a comfortable life though? I Dont have any grand aspirations for a career. I just want comfort. I work a 40 hour week so I can have savings, so I can enjoy the house plants I tend to, the aquariums full of fish I cultivate as mini ecosystems to watch and destress, to put birdseed out for the birds in my yard, to have nice shoes and clothes I can wear in comfort on my walks and hikes. Like maybe you all view this in and of itself as a goal but the way i was raised and even being online the way I see people living their lives, it feels like my desires lay outside the status quo. work, children, some great contribution. I'm just a night guard, finding a quiet, low effort job that puts money in my pocket as an autistic guy so I can spend my free time in peace, enjoying the things I love.
