Omg. This is such a great, relatable and funny post. Great job!👏👏👏 One small caution about the 2nd question… Asking, “How do you feel loved and valued?” can absolutely help couples communicate. The problem starts when people assume certain behaviors are love itself. They’re not. Care, support, affection, gifts, quality time, and physical touch are behaviors people often associate with love. They can certainly be motivated by love. They can also be motivated by obligation, habit, guilt, manipulation, friendship, or simple kindness. The reverse is true as well. Someone can genuinely love another person and still struggle to express it consistently. 🧐 Rather than asking, “How do you show love?” Maybe ask “What actions make you feel most connected to your partner?” That invites people to talk about what helps them feel connected without pretending those preferences define love itself. Also, the catchphrase at the end… “which is how love is actually demonstrated” can be a trap because it mistakes preferred behaviors for proof of someone’s internal emotional state. The same action can come from many different motives, and no single behavior, by itself, can tell you what someone truly feels.
