If you think the storyline is dumb you're missing the point. She feels like she has limited time left because of cancer and losing her everyday abilities for 4 weeks when there might not be much time left feels unbearable.

It’s not about the baking, It’s about the fact she has cancer and doesn’t know how long she has to keep being a MOTHER and a FRIEND and a WIFE. She wants full motion so she can keep doing the things she does to show her love before she can’t anymore. It’s about being able to do it HERSELF but I’m so glad she chose the safer option that kept her here for as long as possible
