@charleybournetruecrime: The Incredible Survival Story Of Alex Batty ❤️‍🩹 It was the middle of the night in December 2023 in south western France when a delivery diver spotted a figure in the distance. He didn’t know it yet but he was about to solve a 6 year old unsolved mystery and missing persons case. The boy he could see on that road had vanished without a trace - Alex Batty from Oldham. When Alex was just 8, he moved to Morocco with his mum and grandad, but when they ran out of money, Alex was sent back home to Olham to live with his nan. His nan eventually applied for full custody much to the disapproval of his mum, Melanie Batty. A custody battle began and eventually Melanie and Alex’s grandad took Alex on a ‘holiday’ abroad.. and never brought him home. His nan called police and an international missing person investigation began but they had no luck finding the missing child. He was last seen at the Port of Malaga on 8th October That was until the delivery man spotted him and took him to a police station - finally after 6 years the mystery was solved. Controversially, Alex’s mum and grandad were never criminally charged for the apparent kidnap / abduction.
