I was personally extremely upset by the closure of the original café, thinking that it was never going to come back. But once Domo Cafe was announced and I got to experience it, I think it did certain things better than Gudetama, mainly being experience-related stuff like how they mail out the postcards for an extra dollar charge via USPS. And the food itself is at a similar quality as Gudetama, which is probably the most important detail as character-themed food tends to be incredibly mid and overpriced. So I’m fine with paying a slight premium for the food knowing it’s an independent business and have faith in the current owners as they have a lot of passion in the business. My main concern is the location and personally should relocate somewhere better at some point considering the increasing decline of the mall.

I went a couple months after it opened. No music, all the merch was sold out, gnats were everywhere, and half the food was unavailable. And like 3 other groups of people were there idk what kind of restocking that was
