My name is Chief Emaye Omotola, and I am using this opportunity to make a heartfelt appeal to the Federal Government of Nigeria, the Ondo State Government, and our dear Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa. Please, sir, have mercy on us. Our community has been suffering from severe flooding for many years. Every time it rains, our environment becomes completely flooded. The roads become impassable, and we cannot go out or come into our community safely. Children cannot go to school, traders cannot do their businesses, and many families are living in fear. Some people have already abandoned their homes because the floodwater has taken over their properties. Others are still trapped, hoping that help will come before the situation becomes worse. We are losing our peace, our health, and our means of livelihood because of this terrible condition. We have been reporting and complaining about this problem for more than five years, but unfortunately, nothing meaningful has been done. We are tired, we are suffering, and we urgently need the government’s intervention. We are not asking for too much—we are simply asking for good drainage, better roads, and a lasting solution to this flooding problem so that we can live like every other community. Your Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, we believe you are a listening governor. We humbly plead with you to send government officials to visit our community and see the terrible condition with your own eyes. Please help us before more lives and properties are lost. To every Nigerian, every son and daughter of Ondo State, and everyone from the Ikale Nation, we also ask for your support. If you come across this video, please do not ignore it.
