Take your pension as soon you can, and move to a sunny country to enjoy life fully. There many countries where you can live comfortably with nearly 300 a week. Government won't tell you that 😉

I'll be going on Jobseekers benefit at 64..Jobseekers allowance at 65 then my pension at 66...I've worked since I was 15

Nobody is guaranteed to reach their next birthday, in the UK the Office for National Statistics confirms its only the women who have an average life expectancy of 83 where as for men its 72 . very worrying !!!!

Got my pension at 66, €299.30 a week. But because I have a private pension it is taxed!!! Also if you have sufficient contributions, you get €252 a week at age 65, and then the full pension at 66. However it is taxed, which is ridiculous especially if you have been paying tax, PRSI, etc for over 40 years!’

In China workers retire at the age of 50. If you do go to work again, you get pension plus whatever you earn free of tax.
